Just havnt felt like it. Anyway, the boys went home a couple weeks ago. Glad they had a good time. At the mo me and mum are both suffering from bad throats and coughs. Have no idea how we got it but we've had it for about a week now. Its gettin to me a lot, 5 days in a row ive woken a couple times during the night cus of it. Needless to say it left me feeling exhausted and sore. Managed to cough some gunk up today which helped a bit. Still not 100% though. Will keep on taking the medicine and hopfuly both me and mum will be better soon.</p> <p>And Bobby tweaked his bad knee (pulled ligaments last year) pretty bad the other week. Poor boy couldnt use the leg for a good few hours. Had him at the vets for an antiinflamitory painkilling injection which helped and luckily meant he avoided having to have surgery on the knee. He's fully recovered now although he still limps. I guess pulled ligaments take a long time to heal or dont heal at all. Talking of Bobby, the cyst on his leg seems to be shrinking. Happy about that. Means nothing will need doing to it. The vet isnt going to do anything but we have to keep an eye on it and as long as it doesnt get out of control and stays small like it is then he should be fine but if it does get bigger, i guess he'd have to have surgery to remove it. But for now he's just fine and it still doesnt boher him at all. So we're happy <img src="/img/smilies/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" class="middle" border="0"> </p> <p>Also got all the stuff down for the boys coming (EG - fold-up bed, extra bedding, ya know.) Hope the westhr stays good while they're here. Although its not been to bad today. They're coming om Saturday. Dad's gonna get the 7am ferry to Liverpool, pick the boys up then all come back so they should be here late afternoon - early evening. Theyre coming for about 3 weeks, so ive booked some time off work (from tmorrow for 3 weeks, wheeee). </p> <p>Also we had Bobby at the vets on Monday. Found a lump on his left back leg. Was worried at first because you find a lump, you think of..well, ya know. Anyway, seems its some kind of cyst. Lady vet drained quite a bit of bloody fluid out of it (and Bobby was very good while she did it aswell. She put some on slides, theyve been sent off and we're gonna phone up tomorrow and hopfuly find out what kind of cyst it is and what course of action to take next. It doesnt seem to bother him at all though, which is good.</p> <p>My tomatoes are doing good, lots of fruit on them now. I cant get into my planer to watch aything ive recorded or add anything to it. GOing to see my friend on Tuesday so hopfuly he can tech me to use it. I can do he basics, make a call, send a txt, set time and date, use the camera. STill rather new to me though but i love it. She said she likes it already, plus theres some people there she already knows, which is good. The staff are nice and very helpful. And we can take Bobby (dog) to visit but he has to stay on his lead but i guess we can let him off when hes in nan's room. Me and dd have been busy sorting nan's old house out, ya know, sorting whats for keeping (which'll go up to my Uncles house for the time being) and what could go, what things we want, etc. So yeah, all in all a big success me thinks.</p> <p>Other things - im still enjoying my job. Her new room is on the ground floor, handy because theres no way she could manage stairs now, in the Rushen wing (each wing is named after a manx place/thing). Me and dad went to have a look at her room yesterday (Thursday) and its very nice. Just the right size for one person. Theres a bed (hight adujsutable), bedside cabinet, wardrobe, chest of drawers, points for TV & phone then a small bathroom, with toilet, sink and such (she'll be taken for showers/baths somewhere a bit further down the corridor). More or less next door to her room is the dining area and a sitting area. I think she'll like it there. Nan wasnt to keen on the idea at first but shes looking forward to it now. Heh we're kinda excited too <img src="/img/smilies/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" class="middle" border="0"></p> <p>My jbs still goin well. Im hoping to find out if i'll be there permanantly. I think i will, especialy as it'll start getting busy at the hotel soon. Also one of the girls i work with will be leaving in a few weeks to go on maternity leave, for about a year she said. Just have a bit of last minute food shoping to do tomorrow and picking up our turkey and other christmas meat on christmas eve. Having a slight change this year - instead of a whole turkey we are just having the breast (or the crown). A whole turkey is too much for us and alot of it doesnt get eaten so, yeah be a nice change. Hppfuly it'll come with its giblets so i can cook em for the pets. They like them, they do. </p> <p>Oh and Bobby is having his hair, i mean fur, cut tomorrow, so he'll look handsome and feel loads better i imagine. His knee is still bothering him a bit but he doesnt seem to mind. She was fine od Wednesday but yesterday she seemed to suddenly look old and her balance seemed to go aswell. Saw her a couple more times then she went into her little house. Looked in on her a few more times then at about 11.30, checked her again and she'd gone...she'd gone to sleep in her house and never woke up. I am sad but yet glad she went so peacfuly. She was about 2 years old so she lived her full life. I buried her in the back garden, next to a rose bush. I havnt touched her cage yet...maybe tomorrow i'll see to it. We had a great time. We wached Clash Of The Titans (what a classic!) and Nightmare Before Christmas (i baught the 2 disc collectors edition for only £10 from HMV). We went for a walk down Strand St cause Darren had to do a bit of shopping and we called at HMV aswell, then Tesco later on where we ended up playing with the Wall-E toys heh heh. Then we spent a good few hours playin Wii Sports....gawd what a time we had lol!! Baseball, tennis ad 10 pin bowling (which i found out im very good at). It was about 11pm by the time i got home. So yeah a great day with great guy. Apparently hes not in any pain, which is good. Its just because his knee is unstable its making him less confident to use it, which is why he's hobbling round. Makes sense i supose. Just have to make sure he doesnt over do it yet make sure he keeps using it to try and get the muscle to build up again, cause it wasted away a bit. Also it was Bonfire night and i dont think he was too keen on all the bangs going off. He was panting as though he was over heating for about 3-4 hours then he calmed down. Guess his knee isnt as better as we thought. Maybe he twisted it or something as he was going up. Hopfuly a rest should help. My poor poochy.</p> <p>Also i left my new job....it jut wasnt what id hoped for and i wasnt enjoying it so i am on the search again. Still it gives me a chance to have a rest and catch up with Darren. Going up to see him on Friday. The walk-in-bath is taking a bit of getting used to though. He was at the vets again today, he had fluid drained off his knee then a cortisone (sp?) injection right into the knee (dot worry he was asleep so didnt feel a thing). He couldnt use the leg for afew hours but its not as bad now and he can kindof use it. We have to take him back in a coupl of weeksa to se if its any better. Its still going good an im settling in more now and finding my way round easier, only after 3 days. Im in at 9am tomorrow to 12.30. Half-day, yaaay! Then my first day off is tuesday, witch is te day our bathroom gets done (getting a walk-in bath, new toilet and basin). Should be interesting. Then my next day off is next Sunday. I work 5 days a week, instead of 6 like at the Royal hotel. Phew my first day at the Cherry Orchard Aparthotel is over and done with. It wasnt to bad actulay, aart from the hose coming off the vacume ooops. Just need time to get into it and learn my way around and stuff. So yeah hopfuly once i settle in it should be no problem. My shift, at the mo, is 8am to 3pm. Maybe have to do half-day on sundays, 9am till 12.30, witch isnt too bad. I finish there on the 21st of this month and start my new job as housekeeping assistant at the Cherry Orchard on the 23rd <img src="/img/smilies/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" class="middle" border="0"> I'll be doing pretty much what im doing now, except that there will be proper apartments (its an aparthotel), with couple of bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and livingroom. Also its only a couple minute walk just down the road from my house too, witch will be very handy lol! SO yeah im kinda excited now and i hope i'll enjoy working there as much as i did at the Royal hotel. Should be good, just hope my back holds out, its been rather sore today but its feeling better now. I never complain though. </p> <p>Also Tigger is fully recovered from that virus, im happy and relived to say. She had us so worried, having never been ill in her entire life and being an older cat too. And Bobbys knee is better than it was, or so the vet says. Her temp's gone down and she has her appetite back. She had another shot today and has some tablets. Not been herself for the last couple of days. Hadnt seen her eat or drink and all she did was sleep so took her to the vets today. Seems she has a virus, she has a temperature, her throat glands are inflamed, her heart was racing and breating shallow an her insides are gassy and stodgy and shes just plain misarable. So vet gave her a shot of antibiotics and she has togo back tomorrow to see if that has helped her temp go down and if not she has to stay in over the weekend. On a positive note she did have a bit to eat and drink when she got home, which is good. So hopfuly she'll be alright. Its not like our Tigger to be ill. Not at all.</p> <p>Bobby's knee still isnt right and if it isnt better by next friday then he'll need more injections. The vet gave him a shot of something, and will do every friday until he's better. So Bobby has been pretty quiet since he got home. It started a couple weeks ago, when we noticed he seemed to not want to much weight on his back right leg so it was off to the vets who thought he'd hurt his knee, so gave us some anti-inflamitaries. They didnt help and his legs gotten worse so bck to the vets today, vet was concerend that it wasnt better and now think it could be the hip, so Bobbys booked in for x-rays tomorrow. I hope they can show the problem. We think this happened because he fell off the armchair when he was gettin nto the windowsill. We really want (well me and mum anyway) want to geta full window again instead of the half window we have now. Be easier for Bobby.
