  • 1 day to go

Just 1 day to go before my week off. I hope tomorrow goes fast. I'm exhausted. My back still hurts and if that wasnt bad enough im getting mild stomach twinges too. So im feeling rather unncomfy right now. I just want to relax, or aleast try too. Gonna watch more Thunderbirds later.

Well, what an interesting Big Brother house this year. The fridge is out in the garden, the oven is in the bedroom, the bathtub is in the living room...and what is that bullseye for, i wonder? (on the floor in the living room or there abouts). And not one guy in there....yet.

  • 2 days to go

Then a week of chillin out and watchin the races :) My back is still sore but not to the point that i feel i need painkillers. Although i may take some before i go to bed. I (and the others at work)will be so glad when Friday is over. I think we're all knackered. Shouldnt complain much though. Atleast im erning money. Thats the main thing.

Big Brother starts tonight! Wonder what this years lot will be like? What sort of tasks will they have to do? YOU decide.

  • Oooh me achin back

My back is killin me today. Ive been on painkillers ever since i got home from work, shows ya how sore and uncomfy it is huh. I had a hot bath when i got home which i hoped would help but, i guess it didnt really. After i finish on the computer im gonna go carry on watching my DVD and try to relax my back. I started watching Thunderbirds earlier (i got the complete series DVD box set heh) and i was part way through Pit Of Peril (one of my faves). Great stuff :)

Um, yeah thats it for now.

  • Jaw ache

Yes, i didnt go to work today bacause my jaw was playing up. And it'd been fine for a while, too. Anyway its just a dull ache now so i should be ok for work tomorrow. Just 4 days then its TT Week :D:D I cant wait! Its practice week, this week then the real thing next week. This Sunday is Mad Sunday and we (me, dad n Darren) are gonna go see the Big One up at Onchan. The Purple Helmets will be there, doing their funny stunts, the wheelie bin race, etc. And Steve Colly aswell, hes like a stunt/trials rider. Its always packed out at the small stadium. Great stuff :)

Went down to the Billown Circuit yesterday to watch the last of the Pre-TT Classic races (old motorbikes). Was good. The roar of the engines, the smell of the exhausts....love it! :D

  • Phew!

Finally my first proper week of work is over. Just as well, im knackered :zz: Looking forward to a lie-in tomorrow. And starting work at 7 wasnt too bad. Finished at about 12.45 and sat in the little canteen till about 1 waiting for the boss to be in his office so we could get our wages. We get em in little brown envolopes (kinda like what you used to take ya dinner money to school in heh). My first pay was about £67 which isnt too bad. Put the bulk of it in my cow money box, for when i need it say to put towards the cradit card bill, shopping, etc. After next week, we're off for TT week :D

Uuumm, thats about it for today, i think.

  • Nearly done

Yes, my first proper week of work is almost done. My right thumb is suffering though. Tis feeling sore and stiff . My left thumb is the same, but not quite as bad. We're starting work at 7am tomorrow U-( But we do finish at 1pm (there abouts) so not to bad. Will have to find out if we get bank holiday Monday off. And i get me first pay packet :)

Been watching DVDs to help me relax and forget my aches. Been watching Shrek, Shrek 2, Corpse Bride, stuff like that. Playing on me DS aswell. Im trying to find games along the same lines as Animal crossing and Harvest Moon. Any suggestions?

  • *fans self*

Why am i so WARM!!!! Its so annoyiong. I swear, precticaly every night since i started my new job, when im settled down at the computer i end up hot, as if it was a scorching summer day when it isnt. It makes me feel tired aswell :-/ It really is bugging me. But the job is going ok. I found a large hermit crab in my last batch this afternoon. Biggest one ive ever seen. Didnt seem to have much life left in it, unfortunatly. Other than th ehermit crab, ive found bits of coral, seaweed, small shells, who knows what'll pop up next heh.

  • Spiderman 3 - my thoughts

I actualy rather enjoyed it. Ok, there were 1 or 2 slow parts but other than that, it was good. Loved the battle at the end between Spiderman, the new green goblin, Sandman and venom. I loved venom, he was great :D And i liked sandman too. I think it'd be great to have spider powers :D So yeah, i think people should see that film. Hoping to go and see Pirates of the carribean 3 and Shrek the 3rd next.

The jobs going well, although its still doing my hand in. I had problems with it at Strix too. Hope i dont end up getting artheritis in it or anything like that. Came home today and noticed that i have itchy red lumps on both arms. I dunno if ive been bitten by something or if its something at work (like the shellfish or those rubber gloves) or what. They gone down a bit now though.

  • Spiderman 3

Going to the cinema tomorrow night with Darren to see Spiderman 3 :) Now, i must confess i havnt seen the first 2 yet (i think i have the first one on DVD somewhere though). Looking forward to it. Seen adverts for it and it does look good. It starts at 7.30 so gonna be there for about 7.

Went to Darrens yesterday. He was busy puttin more stickers in his Dr Who sticker album. I had a few more for him and 2 darlek related comic strips out of the Daily mail which he absolutly loved :D Then we went into Strand Street, called at the book shop (got drawn in by all the Dr Who stuff). I bought a Centenery TT programme (i try and buy one every year), then we stopped for lunch at Capones american diner and nice it was too. First time id ever been in there. Talking of which, theres talk of Pizza Hut opening a restaraunt over here in the future, yay. Then after that went to HMV, then Shoprite then back to darrens where we ate meat feast pizza and watched a few episodes of Dr Who. I swear i am really getting in to Dr Who now, its great! :D

  • Well...

...thats my first 3 days done, now i can relax my aching muscles over the weekend. Aside from the achiness, the job actualy isnt all that bad. And its easy to pick up. The people there (only, lets say, a dozen or so) arnt too bad either.

Going to Darrens tomorrow *does happy dance*. Going to tesco first to do the shopping, then dad will drop me off at darrens and he'll take the shopping home. Oh and im gonna call at Coleburns while im there to pay my nans TV. Hopfuly we'll wander down Strand ST too, and if we do im gonna go in the nearest paper shop and buy me a huge bar of Cadbury's chocolate cus i need it!!!

  • Theh pain, the paaaaiiiin!!!

I am, quite literly, wracked with pain (which has eased slightly, phew). This new job i spainful...my back, neck and shoulders are achey and tight and my right hand is bad, very bad. It wa s hurting so much at work (not said that for a while) that i wa salmost dropping the knife. It eassed off over lunch break though. And i am now earing a support glove, which is helping. But im trying not to complain, after all it is a job and i get my first pay next friday, in cash, but no idea how much yet. Oh and is it warm today or what? (atleast where i live anyway).

Doing well on Harvest Moon. Have upgraede nearly all my tools, got a house extention. My sheep and cow both had babies. Still trying to figure out what i have to do to get Darryl to be my friend and take me down into his basement to see the mermaid. And i need tips for getting to the last floor of the 2nd mine to get the special sword. I wanna get to the special fields behind the waterfall!

  • Im singing in the rain...

...just singing in the rain. What a glorious feeling, im happy again. Heh, sorry its pouring out there and i just felt like singing :)

Anyway, my first day went well. Got there at about 8.15. Was given a rather fetching long green to coat and white wellies to wear, and a rubber apron and green rubber gloves (what style), then off to the work floor. Biiig pile of scallops (theyre shellfish, if anyones wondering) on the table, large stainless steel thing. Was shown what to do and off i went and its pretty easy to pick up. We were doing half-shells today. Thats where you take the top shell off, then remove this squidgy black bit and then the lip that runs round the outter edge of the shell. I must admit, when i noticed that nearly every time i cut the top shell off the thing inside would start pulsating, it did kinda creep me out a bit at first (and theres not much can do that to me, i can tell ya) but i just pushed it aside and was fine. I think i did well, when i weighed my lot at the end of the day i had about 6.somthing KG or kilos, i think thats when they weigh them in. Finished about 2.45, cleaned up and was out jus before 3pm, so not bad. There is a downside though...my back/shoulder and right wrist/hand are killing me! XX(

But i think i'll still keep checking the papers and job website for something better. But untill then, im ok :)

  • Could have a job...

...soon. Down at the scallop factory in Port St Mary right on the main pier. I think its mainly prying the shells open, taking the good bit out, somnething like that. Yes, i know its more factory-type work but it'd be better that Strix. Plus my gran and our neighbour, Jean used to work there and they loved it so hopfuly i will too. I think new people start at 8am and work till 5pm then as you get more experienced you can choose when to come in and go home, as long as you reach your quota, i guess. And as for the pay, the amount you get paid depends on how much you do a day. Theres a name for it but i cant remember it just now, doh! Anyway, i have to be there between 8-8.30 am tomorrow. Not sure if im actualy starting or if its just a trial run but anyway, i'll blog how i got on :)

The stockcar racing was, well, kinda slow. Not may spectators or racers. There were about 6-7 Bangers, 5 Ministox and only F1 stocks. Couple of minor crashes. Oh well, we'll go again later on when the F2's are over. Theres loads of them, apparently. Oh and i dont know how long i had to wait in the que to get a hotdog but it was quite a while. But i got one. It was worth waiting for though, mmmmm!!!

  • Stockcar Racing!

Yes, i wont b online tomorrow night (unless i feel like coming on for a bit after getting home, if it snot too late) cus we are going up to Onchan to watch the stockcar racing. Starts at 7.45 and lasts for a couple of hours. It includes Bangers, F1 Stocks and MiniStocks. Oh and did i mention they do great hotdogs up there? Yummy! You get some good crashes too. Its a pretty good watch.

My neck has been killing me all day. All down the left side. I was fine when i woke up, was fine when i took Bobby out for his morning walk but nearing home i felt a twinge and by the time i got home my neck was killing me, so ive been on painkillers, which seemed to have helped a bit.

  • Its rainin again...

Its rained atleast once a day for the last 3 or 4 days in a row now. Not that im complaining. I like rain, its refreshing and keeps the flowers and trees from going thirsty. I remember when i used to work at Strix, in th efactory. Man it was so not nice. Sometimes it got sooo stuffy cus the air conditioning was crap. I used to hope for rain cus after spendnig 9 hours in that place, getting outside at hometime and in the rain...oh it was just so refreshing and cooling :) Makes you wonder what the Earth would be like without rain, huh?

I baked another yummy sponge cake today (actualy the recipe is for an iced cherry cake but we dont like glace cherries so left them out and instead of butter icing for the filling i used whipped cream). And all i can say is...DAMN IM GOOD!!!! Another masterpeice :D Im good at baking. I love to make cakes, muffins, pies, crumbles....its a pleasure to do and even more so when the finished product is enjoyed by others :)

Not long till the TT races :D Its the 100th birthday this year. Yes, the TT is 100 years old! If you like motorbikes you'd love the TT. Check out the website iomtt.com for more info about the TT Races.

  • Rain and garlic

Yeah it rained quite a bit today. But it wasnt really cold and it got a bit warmer after it stopped raining. Got the food shopping done this afternoon, at Tesco. As we (me and dad) were drivin home the car was filled with the scent of wild garlic. MMMM lovely :P The stuff grows every where and smells great! (i like garlic, can you tell?)

My dog is daft. Why? Well i was taking some rubbish out to the bin and turned round and nwaved at Bobby and said "byeeee" so of course he comes running over from the kitchen door and decides to headbutt the front door on his way. I doubt he felt it though heh. Reminded me of Felix (cat). She used to crash through the catflap with a rather loud bang.

  • Interview result

Heard back about the Office Junior job i had an interview for last week and, as with all the others, i was unsucessful. Ah well, just gotta keep trying.

This afternoon as i was leaving th ehouse to take Bobby for his walkies, this adorable little puppy comes bounding over to Bobby and they kinda sniffed each other then the puppy starts running round us and yapping. Poor Bobby didnt quite know what to make of it. Then the neighbour and another fella came down and asked if i knew who she belonged too, which i didnt. So Andy (neighbour) called the dog warden and gave them the 4 digit number on the puppy's tag and a few min later his phone rings and its the pups owner, who, as it turns out, lives further in the estate. So he came down and picked her up. Nice ending :) I think she must have escaped somehow and went exploring. Good thing i took Bobby out when i did or she could have gone into the main road. She was so friendly too.

  • Final Destination

I decided to buy the Final Destination DVD box set (all 3 films)off Amazon last night, because ive never seen them and at the time i was recording the first one on Sky Premier, and the bloke i was talking to on Yahoo said all 3 films were good. I searched Amazon, found the box set and thought "what the hell, why not" and bought it. Only cost me £11-£12. Not bad eh :) So i look forward to getting that.

Im doing well on Harvest Moon. Have now got a stone animal shed and a cow and sheep (Kurumi & Magda), got a fishing rod, but have only caught 2 fish and a tin can so far. Figured the mines out. Ive opened 2 so far. Gotta go down about 299 floors and defeat the nasties on the bottom level before i can open mine 3. Good though, as i can get different ores and gems, and dig up brooches, earrings and necklaces at the main dig. My character Mystie is trying to woo the lovely Muffy at the moment heh.

  • A good time was had

Yeah, yesterday (Saturday) was great :) Got up at about 8.30 am to have brekafast and take Bobby for his walk. Then we set off at about 10am, picked Darren up and got to the wildlife park just after 11am. Made our way round, past the Rea's, Flamingos, loads of ducks and ducklings, Otters, monkies, till we got to where the falconry display would take place. Saw all the hawks and falcons on their perches. There was even a Vulture (called Razor). The display was great. Those birds have such grace and agility.Very impresive. After that we stopped at the cafe for a sandwhich and drink then to the Rainforest Theater. Its a little hut with seats and one of the park people shows you different creatures and you can hold them. We held a giant land snail, a hissing cockroach, huge millapede, a Python and a bearded dragon (lizard). Very cool :D The we carried on our walk round, past the wallabies and the emu, through this new part tha had snakes, lemurs and even fruit bats! One part was shut off though, as a bird (a Thrush i think) had made her nest on the fence. Took lots of pictures. Past the pellicans (huge things, they are) then out and back to the car then home. I was so knackered after we got home that i didnt feel like coming on the computer so i spent the rest of the night watching TV and playin on my DS. We had a great time though :)

Click here to find out more about our wildlife park.

  • Tomorrow!

Really looking forward to it. Darren is coming with us so its gonna be a good day out. Ive decided not to wear my Dr Marten's tomorrow, as walking around the wildlife park for hours will boil my feet so im wearing my sandals. I painted my toenails too, a lovely color called ruby. Its red with sparkley bits in it. Looks great :D

  • All went well

Yes, my interview went well. I was in there for about 15 mins or so. Amanda (i think sh emust be the boss) was very nice. Apparently theres only about 28 people work there, you get payed monthly (i think the yearly is about £10,000), 8am - 5.30pm and 4 weeks holiday, so doent sound to bad. She said this job had got a goos response so it'll be a few days before i find out if i was sucessful or not.

It didnt go to bad at the hospital, for my mum, either. She had x-rays taken and it sturns out her hip joint is worn away (ouch), so she deffinatly needs a new hip BUT she has to loose loads of weight first.

It has, again, been a glourious, warm, sunny day. Clear blue skies and a slight breeze. Lovely.

  • *fans self*

Phew! Boy its been a warm one today! Although i hope it'll be like this on Saturday, because we (me, my dad and hopfully Darren too) are going to the wildlife park. Theres a falconry display on up there over the weekend and it'd be a sight to see, im sure. Plus we aint been up there for ages.

Mums down at the hospital tomorrow morning, so hope it goes well. Poor mum just wants to get it over with. Them i have my interview in the afternoon then gonna call at Tesco to do the shopping.

Oh i had an awful mishap on Harvest Moon last night....my animal shed collapsed killing my cow and sheep :`( Thats what i get for using lumber. So im saving up to build a new one from stone then buy a new cow and sheep, and give them the same names as the first 2, which were Kurumi (sheep) and Magda (cow). Its the winter season now and its kinda quiet because you cant sow seeds in the winter.

  • I got an interview!

Yes, i finnaly have an interview :) Its at some place called Stewart Smalley & Co and its for a Junior Admin job :) The interview is this Thursday at 2pm, so wish me luck.

Happy birthday mum! Yeah its my mums birthday today. She got 8 cards in total, and about 4 DVDs (Miss Potter, Bleak House and i forget the others).

Doing well on Harvest Moon. I got an animal shed now and my first sheep. Her name is Kurumi.I entered her in the sheep festival and she came 4th. Oh well. Oh and she's in a bad mood. How do i cheer her up?
I'm gonna try and get a bird house next to get a chicken or duck.
