My Sky + has gone haywire. I cant get into my planer to watch aything ive recorded or add anything to it. Ive tried unplugging and plugging it back in, made sure all the wires and stuff are all in properly but it just wont work. Also when i reset it it makes a noise like a phone moden trying to conect. Dont know why or what it is but it was working fine this morning so i have no idea whats happened. But its annoying ::::::
Edit - Just tried to set something to record and got a message about a system fault and playback and recording being unavailable. Gave a number too so gonna try and ring it and see what happens.

Baught meself a new phone yesterday (Friday), a Nokia 6300. Sill getting used to it as my old phone was a Nokia 3510i, so yeah, not used to these new fangled phones lol! Nice bit of tech (to quote The Gadget Show's Jason Bradbury) though. GOing to see my friend on Tuesday so hopfuly he can tech me to use it. I can do he basics, make a call, send a txt, set time and date, use the camera. STill rather new to me though but i love it. And the price? £120.

Yes we moved my nan up to Southlands yesterday (Wednesday 25th March) and it went just fine. She said she likes it already, plus theres some people there she already knows, which is good. The staff are nice and very helpful. And we can take Bobby (dog) to visit but he has to stay on his lead but i guess we can let him off when hes in nan's room. Me and dd have been busy sorting nan's old house out, ya know, sorting whats for keeping (which'll go up to my Uncles house for the time being) and what could go, what things we want, etc. So yeah, all in all a big success me thinks.
Other things - im still enjoying my job. The weather isnt very nice, very very windy and a bit wet.

Yes, my gran will be moving just up the road to Southlands residential home. Her new room is on the ground floor, handy because theres no way she could manage stairs now, in the Rushen wing (each wing is named after a manx place/thing). Me and dad went to have a look at her room yesterday (Thursday) and its very nice. Just the right size for one person. Theres a bed (hight adujsutable), bedside cabinet, wardrobe, chest of drawers, points for TV & phone then a small bathroom, with toilet, sink and such (she'll be taken for showers/baths somewhere a bit further down the corridor). More or less next door to her room is the dining area and a sitting area. I think she'll like it there. Nan wasnt to keen on the idea at first but shes looking forward to it now. Heh we're kinda excited too ![]()
My jbs still goin well. Im hoping to find out if i'll be there permanantly. I think i will, especialy as it'll start getting busy at the hotel soon. Also one of the girls i work with will be leaving in a few weeks to go on maternity leave, for about a year she said. Wish her all the best ![]()

...while watching Animal Cops Houston (i think it was). A dog had to have its leg amputated and it got me thinking....when a humam loses a limb, they have a phantom limb that they can still feel, have pain, etc. Would it be the same for an animal?
Oh and im still enjoying my new job

Housekeeping (like what i did at the Royal hotel, last year) at the Falcons Nest.Only down the road. Been there a couple of days so far, and its only like spring cleaning at the moment but hopfuly should get busier when the tourists start coming over. So its only a couple hours work (9am - 12). Its gone ok so far and the girls seem nice enough. I am feeling it though, having not worked for a few months...especialy in the lower legs. Feeling knackcered too. But it'll pass.

No, not me thank goodness. My cat, Whisper. Me and mum noticed he wasnt himself this morning - quiet, not eating, not going out - so me and dad took him to the vets and it seems the poor li'l guy's picked up a chest infection. But he's had an antibiotic shot which has perked him up and he starts his tablets tomorow and hopfuly he should be right as rain.
